Diets that Didn’t Work

Let’s face it, there are many people out there who have tried different diets. While there are many that doctors find diets that were created that have worked, there are just as many that people and doctors have said shouldn’t have been started. Here are some of those.

Doctors will tell many that they should avoid the diets that say they should avoid this group of food or that one. The reason for this is because everyone needs a variety. This is how one gets all the minerals and vitamins they need. When a person cancels out one group, then they cancel out some things that they should be getting.
The next sort of diet that the doctors all warn people about and say they don’t work are those that make a person fast. When a person fasts, they can do some serious damage to their body if they don’t do it properly and if they do it too long, then one might find that it doesn’t help a person. It works against a person.

Detox diets aren’t good for people either. The reason behind this is because of the fact that once again, they do no good. People think that they do, but they really don’t. Our bodies were designed to get rid of things. The best thing that a person can do is drink water and eats fiber in order for the body to be able to do these things.
It’s hard to say which exact ones don’t work. There are so many that have variations of all of these so touching base and telling everyone about all of them would take forever. However, one has the basic things about the different diets that they should stay away from as these diets won’t work. Researchers have proven this with many of these diets and many have gotten sick and more on such diets.

Proper Hydration Tips for Sports Players

Those who participate in sports are some of the people that are prone to suffering from the effects of dehydration or in rare cases hyponatremia, which is taking in too much water. This is why there are ways to ensure that you are properly hydrated when participating in sports.

You need to take into consideration what activity you will be doing and the length of time you will be doing that activity. For example, taking a short walk through the woods mean that you should drink water because it will satisfy your thirst. However, those who are taking a three hour bike ride over rough terrain may want to consider sports drinks just because they help replace those calories that you are losing and giving you more energy.

You also need to consider what the weather is that you are doing this activity in. Why? Simply because in colder weather you may want to pack sports drinks instead. This is because sports drinks freeze at a lower temperature than water, but will still quench your thirst and keep your properly hydrated. Also, remember that the hotter the weather, the more water intake you will need. This is due to the fact that you will be sweating more and overall your body will be expending more energy to do the activity that you are participating in.

What are some other tips that sports players need to keep in mind? First off, those who compete in sports are more prone to suffer from an over intake of water, however, there are really no significant effects of this except having to stop more often for bathroom breaks. But it could also make you feel as if you are going slower simply because you have that sloshing feeling in your stomach. This is why you should monitor your water intake closely and make sure that you are getting what you need, but not overdoing it.
